We are thinking of doing a few Swedish dates within a couple of months (most likely a first re-union show in our hometown Trollhättan, this time in a proper club) and then focus on doing some kick-ass festivals in 2012.”

Once again I have been blessed with the opportunity to join my oldest friends and brothers in arms Marko, Janne, Magnus and Markus. I’m am so grateful for this and I will do my best to make the original line-up live up to all expectations and we will definitely have a total blast together while rippin´ the world to pieces with a lot more years to come.
Yeah, from now on I am the lead singer in this classic death metal outfit called THE CROWN. Damn! That feels good to say.
I will also take some time here to thank Jonas Stålhammar ‘cause he did an amazing job on “Doomsday King”. You rule dude!

Extreme metal supergroup LOCK UP will release its new album, "Necropolis Transparent", on July 1 in Europe and July 12 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded in November-December 2010 at HVR Studios in Ipswich, United Kingdom and was mixed in January.
"Necropolis Transparent" will feature guest appearances by HYPOCRISY/PAIN mainman (and one-time LOCK UP vocalist) Peter Tägtgren along with Jeff Walker (CARCASS, BRUJERIA).
Commented LOCK UP bassist Shane Embury: "I always wanted Peter on the third album since he was on the first record LOCK UP we did. It made sense from a weird trilogy aspect to get him on the record. His tones complement [current LOCK UP vocalist] Tomas [Lindberg; also of AT THE GATES] perfectly as well.
"I would have loved to have had Peter sing on more of the songs, but time was short as Peter was heavily involved with his new PAIN record. The songs he did sing on though made them extra special.
"As for Jeff, well me and Jeff go so far back it's unreal. We were mixing the album at Andy Sneap's and I wanted an extra vocal texture on a few tracks to spice it up. My voice is more hardcore and I wanted some extra gravel on things. It all seemed to make sense to Jeff once I had bribed him with a 12 pack of his favorite beer (laughs)!"
"It's great that LOCK UP is back in the saddle again and that I could be a part of it," commented Peter Tägtgren. "This album will tear you a new asshole!"
Jeff Walker added: "I think it's pretty fair to say that the current incarnation of LOCK UP have done the late Jesse Pintado more than proud!"
According to a press release, "the songwriting and production on ['Necropolis Transparent'] surpasses everything the band has done so far. The speed, riffing and intensity make this record more than just a grindcore album and see LOCK UP come into their own true identity."

We are proud to be a part of the Drakkar family and have found a new home in Boggi Kopec's (the heavy metal veteran) label. Boggi worked with bands like Sodom and Kreator in the 80's. With his later formed label "gun" he established "rockers" like Him or Guano Apes in the late 90's.

Roadburn is very pleased to report that Sweden’s doom-legends Count Raven have been confirmed for a one-off show at Roadburn Festival 2011, set for Thursday, April 14th.
Sweden’s Count Raven is counted among the archetypal doom bands, and probably the most representative band of Germany’s legendary (and sadly defunkt) Hellhound label. Upon first listen, Count Raven comes close to cloning Black Sabbath (especially with the vocals being very Ozzy-like), but one can actually feel founder / guitarist / vocalist Dan “Fodde” Fondelius’ emotional engagement, and his poignant, all-too- real lyrics definitely help to dispel any perceived shortcomings in the vocal department.
After splitting up in 1999, and founding a new band by the name of Doomsday Government, Dan Fondelius decided to ressurect Count Raven in 2003 with original collaborators Tommy Eriksson and Christer “Renfield” Petterson, only to call it quits again in 2006. Since then, Fondelius hired two new members, Fredrik Jansson (bass) and Jens Bock (drums) to continue the Count Raven moniker, and now the band is back with a beautiful, melancholy, majestic doom album called Mammons War. This effort represents their first album after 13 years.
